Exercise

As you grow older it is absolutely important to keep yourself active and do some physical work every day. You can sweep and swab the floor, wipe the furniture, clean the fans, paint the walls, doors and windows etc. You health will decline if you spend too much time reading newspapers. have endless cups of coffee or tea and watch too much television. It is better to go for a brisk walk both morning and evening and possibly get some job to keep your mind and body busy and also earn some money. They say an idle mind is devils workshop. They also say that it is better to wear out than to rust out. Use it or lose it is another saying. I recently read that all animals.except human beings, know that the true purpose of life is to enjoy it.

Is that why you started this blog, Joseph? Because I bet this blog keeps you very young indeed.

Check out this quote from General Douglas MacArthur

A Prayer

Youth is not a period of time.
It is a state of mind, a result of the will, a quality of the imagination, a victory of courage over timidity, of the taste for adventure over the love of comfort.
A man doesnt grow old because he has lived a certain number of years.
A man grows old when he deserts his ideal.
The years may wrinkle his skin, but deserting his ideal wrinkles his soul.
Preoccupations, fears, doubts and despair are the enemies which slowly bow us towards earth and turns us into dust before death.
You will remain young as long as you are open to what is beautiful, good and great; receptive to the messages of other men and women, of nature and of God.
If one day you should become bitter, pessimistic, and gnawed by despair, may God have mercy on your old mans soul.
